Strategic Partnerships Manager

TAKEOFF is an international video game creative agency with offices in the US, Europe and China. The Los Angeles team is a tight-knit and growing creative services agency, specialized in creating top-tier marketing assets for mid-sized to AAA clients in the video game and entertainment industries. We are a multi-million dollar seller of graphic design, video and collectible item projects. 

We are looking for an extremely bright Strategic Partnerships Manager that loves the idea of growing a business through partner relationships! This position is responsible for driving the development of a robust partner ecosystem. The focus is to drive revenue and create a tightly integrated ecosystem to ensure customer retention. We will only consider candidates with prior video game marketing experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1+ years of experience in a video game marketing position (associate brand manager, product manager, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to sell a product or service 
  • A degree
  • Traits: extroverted, persistent, bent on success, the love of a job well done
  • Knowledge and passion for video games and the entertainment industry
  • Strong computer and “internet” skills. You know what Slack is.
  • Professional phone manner and good communication skills


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A passion for the game industry
  • A good juggler of projects with timely responsiveness to business needs and demands
  • Good working knowledge of Excel/Numbers
  • Eye and head for detail and cost control measures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal staff, business partners and customers

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and write a sales plan/strategy with the CEO
  • Propose a plan of networking activities. e.g. E3 party
  • Identify and qualify leads
  • Transform leads into contacts
  • Present TAKEOFF’s services to leads and contacts
  • Face to face meetings with interested prospects and the Creative Director
  • Conference calls with interested prospects and the Creative Director
  • Transform discussions with contacts into requests for estimates by contacts
  • Transform estimates into signed contracts for service work
  • Regularly add to and update a list of leads and contacts (CRM database, Zoho) with new leads or updates at every available opportunity 
  • Respect the company policy of turning around 90% of all estimates within 24 hours
  • Develop a new business model for Collector’s Edition projects
  • Best efforts to achieve sales targets set together with the CEO

    • Work closely with the business development manager and copywriter to deliver a marketing message with gamer style

    REQUIREMENTS
    • A passion for the game industry
    • Demonstrated ability to create primarily motion design videos using raw video clips and artwork
    • Understanding and appreciation of storytelling structure and mechanics, and how motion graphics and editing integrate into that structure. A demonstrated sense of visual rhythm and sense of composition and style.
    • Ability to understand and execute on client feedback and/or team notes to achieve desired end product.
    • Ability to work as part of a small team on both short term and long term projects.
    • AfterEffects + secondary: general proficiency in Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • 2+ years of experience in motion graphics or related experience.
    • A solid demo reel showing more motion graphics work than editing.
    • Self-motivation and deadline-driven focus
    • The versatility to adapt creative visions to a variety of video types. A project could be a long storyboard editing and post production for a dev diary or it could be as quick as an animated interstitial trailer, end card or pre-roll video.
    • Ability to use motion and music effectively to deliver a message
    • Ability to work with deadlines. Whether it’s a gameplay trailer for a new release or trade trailers to explain a product or service, we go through a few a week
    • Nice to haves: 3D modeling and rigging - we’re sometimes given a digital rendering with which we’re supposed to create all the trade show merchandise, from the small figurines to life size statues.

    Graphic Designer-Creative Manager

    TAKEOFF is an international video game creative agency with offices in the US, Europe and China. The Los Angeles team is a tight-knit and growing creative services agency, specialized in creating top-tier marketing assets for mid-sized to AAA clients in the video game and entertainment industries. We are a multi-million dollar seller of graphic design, video and collectible item projects. 


    We are looking for a designer who will be responsible for translating client/brand strategy into graphic design. This position is responsible for developing consistent designs for a variety of communication materials including collectors edition mockups, banners, print media, billboards point-of-sale merchandising, etc. After a trial period, the graphic designer may become responsible for helping to drive the creative direction of campaigns produced with other TAKEOFF offices around the world. An understanding of typography, layout and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible. We will only consider candidates with prior video game industry experience and/or gamers


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Knowledge of and passion for video games 
    • 1+ years of experience in graphic design related experience
    • Demonstrated ability to create graphic art used for marketing purposes
